Chennai Autorickshaws

Chennai autos are india famous. Why we are not able to set right this like in other states. Because they say most of the owners are city policemen.(benami).  You found, his terms are not agreeable, to whom you will complain? the same policeman who is crypto owner. All orders are passed by tamilnadu govt. that all autos should fix a  computerised meter. Yes all autos fixed the said meters. Who is checking to make sure that fares are as per fixed meter? Meters are there but who will find out that the meter is working?  

Ok you cant solve the problem but you can organise the traffic. One can see autos everywhere on the road.  They have their own auto stands. But you see them close to your city bus when you are alighting from the bus causing minor accidents. Why not order them to go to the respective area auto stands and no auto should be on the road without passengers in it.

Only the empty autos create traffic jam in peak hours. Most important is put a check so that they cannot turn anywhere they like. It should be sometning like our two wheeler handle bar. People should cooperate in this problem. They should go to the auto stand and hire an auto like they do in Coimbathore or ‘Q’ like mumbai.

Knowingly or un-knowingly most of us are addicted to tv viewing spending our time daily in the name of entertainment. The affected lot is our younger generation.  In my young age i used to see many hollywood movies.   These movies are certfied by censor board as U and A. In ‘A’ category movies which shows more violence like point blank murder, strangling etc.  Such scenes are seen daily  on tv by our younger generation and i think no  one is aware of this. We see news in our dailies that student shot his co student with a gun or a teenager molested a six year old girl. All these are due to what the impact of TV !. Because of this we have lost the reading and writing habit. Look at our GK amidst our boys and girls. The other day in a tamil quiz program quiz master asked a boy the name of saint valluvar’s wife. The boy was blinking, he immediately said  O i am sorry i asked a wrong question I should have asked you the name of actor rajanikanth’s wife.

Scenes such as killing a person by putting the gun on his/her forehead, strangling using tele phone wire, placing a pillow on his/her face , entering freely to an ICU room in an hospital and riduculing the police officials and the law of this land. Todays boys/girls are learning their attitudes and values more from television and movies than from any where else.

An alarming information gathered by me. In USA an youngster getting out of high school, has watched more than 20,000 hrs of TV, witnessed 15,000 murders and watched 100,000 alchohol related commercials. Who is going to bell the cat ??????

Chennai Traffic

Many have noticed the traffic jam in the evenings. Especially places like nungambakkam highroad,gemini circle, kodambakkam high road and the bridge near loyola college leading to poonamalli high road.

Most of these traffic jams can be set right by adjusting the automatic signals respectively. For example you are in kodambakkam high road/ nungambakkam high road signal and you want to go to teynampet side, first wait for the kh road signal which is red, after green proceed to gemini flyover signal where it shows red wait for green proceed align youself for right hand turn again red signal and after green you will go to teynampet.

Here you waited for three signals (all the three are very close) Can we not synchronise these signals adjusting to kh road traffic. Similarly for the traffic coming from nh road keeping the kh road signal red at the same time continueing green for gemini flyover and teynampet turning signal. Then open cathedral side  traffic synchronising fly over with nh road signal. With the present IT  technology i believe this is possible.

About loyola college bridge signal close the traffic coming from soolaimed from 5 pm to 7pm so that smooth flow of traffic possible. Allow free left both soolaimed and the opposite side. All those share autos and autos will not stop in this junction for taking passengers and allowing them to get down. 

Shift the both side bust stops near this signal, one will merge with lyola bus stop and the other with mehta nagar bus stop.  Please allow people to walk, the best possible exercise walking.
